Mr. Ronojoy Dutta is a graduate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School. An aviation veteran, he was with United Airlines for nearly twenty years, holding a broad spectrum of leadership positions in Planning, Maintenance, Finance and Information Technology. Rono was an advisor to both Air Canada and US Airways during their restructuring and was engaged in long-term consulting contracts with Hawaiian Airlines and Air Canada. He has served on the Boards of United Airlines, US Airways and Marsico Trust Funds. Rono also has experience in the Indian aviation sector having worked with Air Sahara as President for two years.
Mr.Prock-Schauer is a graduate from the University of Economics, Vienna. He is an experienced international executive having a total professional experience of over 36 years. He has worked in senior leadership positions with some of the major airlines across Europe and Asia. In the past, he has worked with Austrian Airlines, Jet Airways (India), British Midland International, Air Berlin (Germany/ UK) and Go Air (India).
Mr Prock-Schauer is responsible for operational aspects of IndiGo such as Flight Operations, Maintenance and Engineering and Inflight Services directly as well as Airport Operations and Operations Control Centre.
Willy Boulter has worked in the airline business for over 35 years, firstly with Cathay Pacific for 20 years, and then with other airlines including Virgin Atlantic Airways, South African, Etihad and an Emirates-sponsored team in Angola. He has specific functional experience in all areas of commercial activity, including sales, revenue management, network planning, alliances, international relations, cargo, IT and regional management. He was CEO of Russia’s first Low Cost Carrier, Sky Express.
Born in Singapore, Willy is a UK/Irish national and has an MA from Oxford University. He is also an alumni of Sandhurst and served as an officer in the Royal Artillery and Royal Hong Kong Regiment. He is a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
Aditya heads the Finance department at IndiGo. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has nearly three decades of experience in finance leadership. Before joining IndiGo, he spent a considerable amount of time at GE creating a reputation of an astute, business focused CFO. His last role at GE was CFO - GE Healthcare (India, Africa, ASEAN and Asia-Pacific) where he led the finance function across emerging markets for GE Healthcare and four manufacturing plants.
His other significant previous roles in GE included, CFO - GE Healthcare South Asia, Financial Controller, GE-South Asia, Global Financial Planning & Analysis Leader-Genpact and V.P. Finance Operations GE Capital International Services. During his long tenure at GE, Aditya also had a stint in the US for 2 years. Prior to GE, Aditya worked at Arthur Andersen for five years between 1992 & 97.
Mr. Raghavan is responsible for IndiGo’s Human Resources, ifly (our learning academy) and Administration functions. He earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from University of Madras and Master’s in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations at Madras School of Social Work.
Prior to joining IndiGo, he was Amazon’s Head of Human Resources responsible for Asia Pacific & Middle East Region. Raj joined Amazon in early 2011 as their India Head of Human Resources and supported the launch of several businesses and technology development centers across the country. Prior to joining Amazon, Raj was Head of HR for GE’s Global Research and India Technology Centers. He initially joined GE in 1999 and held various senior HR leadership positions supporting several businesses in various locations.
Priya is a post-graduate in Law from University of Delhi. She is dual qualified to practice law in India and England & Wales. Priya has an extensive background working on ‘on-shore’ and ‘off-shore’ transactions in India. Before moving in-house as General Counsel at IndiGo, Priya was working with Gibson Dunn’s Singapore office where she helped build the India practice for close to 8 years. Prior to Gibson Dunn, she was working with Jones Day in Singapore, a position she took up in 2007 after working for 5 years at AZB & Partners in India.
During her tenure at the law firms, Priya’s practice areas included mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, government privatizations, capital markets and general corporate advice. Priya was also actively involved in the pro bono initiatives undertaken at these firms.
At IndiGo, Priya leads and manages the legal team and works closely with the operational departments.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar is in charge of India sales and revenue management at IndiGo. He holds a bachelor’s degree in law and a master’s degree in economics from Meerut University. He has a post graduate diploma in business administration from the Institute of Productivity and Management, Meerut. He is an aviation veteran with over 25 years of work experience spanning airlines like Air Asia, SpiceJet and Air Sahara at various positions in the areas of commercial, marketing, sales and distribution.
Capt. Ashim Mittra is heading the department of flight operations at IndiGo.
In his current role, he is responsible for all Flight Operation functions of the organization, which include directing the Flight Operations in a safe and efficient manner.
With over 20,000 hours of flying he flies as a DGCA Designated Examiner on the Airbus 320.
Capt. Ashim Mittra joined IndiGo in July 2006 and has been a part of this leading and trendsetting Airline since its inception.
He started his aviation career as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with Indian Airlines 37 years ago and later qualified to become an Airbus 300 Flight Engineer in 1981.He flew as a flight engineer for almost 7 years logging approximately 5000 hrs. After acquiring a Commercial Pilot’s License from the US he flew as a Boeing 737-200 and A320 pilot with Indian Airlines, the national carrier, from 1987 to 1994.
He then gained international exposure and worked with pilots from different culture and nationalities while flying for Air Lanka between 1994 and 1997.
Capt. Ashim Mittra subsequently went on to fly the 737 -200/700/800NG with Alliance Air, Air Sahara, and Air India Express as a Captain. He was a Check Pilot on the Boeing 737-200 with Alliance Air until he joined IndiGo.
Mr. Riyaz PeerMohamed holds a bachelor’s degree in science from University of Bombay. He is a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Chartered Financial Analyst from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts, Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. He has completed the management education program from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Mr. PeerMohamed joined Emirates in Dubai in November 1989 where he held various positions, and his last held position for Emirates was Senior Vice President – Corporate Treasury which he held from August 2001 until May 2006. Mr. PeerMohamed joined our Company prior to the commencement of our commercial operations as the Chief Financial Officer and held this position from May 2006 till November 2014. From December 2014 onwards, Mr. PeerMohamed holds the position of Chief Aircraft Acquisition and Financing Officer in our Company.
Mr. Sanjeev Ramdas holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from University of Delhi and a post graduate diploma in personnel management and industrial relations from YMCA Institute of Management Studies. Mr. Ramdas has worked for Cambata Aviation Private Limited from 1989 till 1994 as Duty Officer and his responsibilities included aircraft handling, passenger services and charter flights. Prior to joining our Company, Mr. Ramdas was the Director of Airport Services at InterGlobe Air Transport Limited from 1994 till 2006 where he managed the Airport Operations of InterGlobe Air Transport Limited’s airline partners and was responsible for Airport Operations, Customer Services, Emergency Response Procedures and Safety. Mr. Ramdas joined our Company on February 1, 2006 and is responsible for Airport Operations and Customer Services.
Mr. S.C. Gupta heads the Engineering function at IndiGo and has been with us ever since our inception in the year 2006.He has more than 20 years of experience in the Aviation industry.
With a large portfolio of responsibilities Mr Gupta manages aircraft maintenance for on time service, safe and reliable operations, tracking airborne communication and reporting systems and all initial and renewal of aircraft clearances.
Prior to joining IndiGo Mr Gupta was the Director of Engineering for Indian Airlines and was a member of the aircraft purchasing team.
Mr Gupta a licensed aircraft engineer is a graduate from the Indian Institute Of Technology and has completed his Master’s in Business Administration from the Faculty Of Management Studies, New Delhi.
Ms Suman Chopra heads the Inflight Services team at IndiGo. She has been associated with us since April 2006 and a part of our launch team.
Her portfolio of responsibilities include providing IndiGo passenger a delightful customer service experience, ,maintaining high standards of customer service and ensuring safety standards are adhered to every time an aircraft takes off and lands.
Prior to joining IndiGo Ms Chopra was General Manager of the Inflight Services & Training division at Air Sahara.
She flew as a cabin crew member with Indian Airlines & Emirates. She was the only Indian in Emirates to be promoted in the crew vertical.
