Claim settlement process

Claims pertaining to loss or damage of cargo can be filed at the station of origin and must include following documents:

A. Claim letter from the shipper  with the following details:

  • Value claimed
  • Description of contents  of the consignment
  • Description of loss/damage of the consigned goods
  • Number of pieces and weight claimed for

B. Copy of consignment note

C. Copy of delivery order

D. Short Landing certificate (in case of short delivery of cargo)

E. Damage certificate ( in case of damaged cargo)

F. Proof of value by way of bills/invoices or cash memos
