1. UN 3481, Lithium Ion Batteries packed in /with equipment when meeting the requirement of Section II of Packing Instruction 966/967
Section II applies where the equipment is packed with Lithium Ion cells with a Watt - hour rate not exceeding 20 Wh or Lithium Ion batteries with watt- hour rating not exceeding 100 Wh
Maximum net quantity of Battery in each package to be accepted is 5 kg
2. UN 3091, Lithium Metal Batteries packed in/ with equipment when meeting the requirements of Section II of Packing Instruction of 969/970
Section II applies where the equipment is packed with lithium metal cells with a lithium metal content not exceeding 1gm or Lithium metal batteries with lithium metal content not exceeding 2gm.
Maximum net quantity of Battery in each package to be accepted is 5 kg
Restrictions/ Limitations:
Power banks are not accepted as cargo in Indigo aircrafts
Loose batteries (used or in retail packaging) falling under UN 3480 and UN3490 is not accepted for carriage in any of the Indigo aircraft
Lithium ion batteries contained in / with equipment but packed in accordance to section – I of PI 966 / PI 967 is not accepted for carriage in any of the Indigo aircraft
Lithium ion batteries contained in / with equipment but packed in accordance to section – I of PI 969 / PI 970 is not accepted for carriage in any of the Indigo aircraft
Any package with visible sign of damage must not be accepted for carriage in any of the Indigo aircrafts
Shipment is Excepted and Limited Quantity is forbidden for carriage in Indigo aircraft
When the consignment of Lithium ion batteries packed in equipment is offered for transportation through air mail, then it should meet the provision of section II of PI967. No more than four cells or two batteries may be mailed in any single package. (refer section 2.4.2 of the current edition of the IATA DGR)
When the consignment of Lithium metal batteries packed in/with equipment
Documentations Required for transportation:
Completely filled IDG from shipper.
24*7 emergency contact number.
Declaration from shipper pertaining to number of batteries to betransported along with watt hour.
Citizens of Nepal and Maldives are eligible for tax exemption/reduction, as per applicable laws, on the airfare. In order to avail such tax exemption/reduction, passengers must declare their correct nationality at the time of booking. In case citizens of Nepal or Maldives intend to travel with any foreign nationals, such citizen (passenger) are requested to kindly book tickets for accompanying foreign national (passengers) in a separate PNR/ticket. Once selected, the nationality cannot be changed at any point during the booking process.
